Should I sell a race wheelset to my huge stupid friend?(5 posts)

Should I sell a race wheelset to my huge stupid friend?acm2002

I'm trying to sell my 517/XTR wheelset because I'm getting discs, and my 220 lb friend just clumsily broke his last spare wheelset today (foot went into the spokes off a jump) Can I in good concious sell him this wheelset. It has double butted spokes, and XTR hubs are pretty strong...anyways tell me what you think. He could easily get an LX/rhyno lite wheelset for less than what I was going to sell them for $175. And he wouldn't break them as easily..maybe.

Some "friend" price... You can purchase the same wheels new for a hundred bucks more (maybe even less).

This sale may cause you to pinch flat at your next race.

No, no, no, no, no! If you truly call this person a friend you will insist that he buy the lx/rhyno lite wheels and sell the spindly race wheels to some smuck you don't know! This buddy of yours sounds like a clydesdale and clumsy to boot. He'll kill the racing wheels in short order and probably be pissed with you.
Sure...but you're gonna hear about it...Dirt Pilot

...I'm 190 and a 517 on XTR didn't last me too long.

Your friend sounds more like a Rhyno man to me.

Out of these three, what doesn't fit?

1. Huge guy
2. Stupid guy
3. 517
Sheesh, what do you consider a friend.tlg

Are you just that inconsiderate or do you really have no "friends"?

You should print out your message and let your friend read it. That way he has all the information and he can make his own choice.
