| stock 2001 fsrxc s-works specs? any thoughts on this bike? | jh_on_the_cape Sep 4, 2002 7:50 AM | | Hi I was looking for a new bike, and a local guy has a new 2001 fsrxc s-works in my size for a nice price. i cannot find the stock build for it on the specialized website (it's a 2001), does anyone know a place i could find this?? Any feedback on this bike would be appreciated. i read the reviews already, but anything else would be nice... thanks jason also, what's it worth? |

The frame was M4, and the 02 frame is M5 (slightly lighter) and the 02 has bearings in the linkage instead of bushings I understand, plus the 02 has SID race fork. I think this is a great XC bike, not for big drops but racing and just plain fun. I built mine up from frame that I bought here in classified, and really like it. My first FS, so haven't much to compare it to. |

DAMMMMNNNN that's a bad machine. soooo light and responsive. the ones we were riding were xtr everything, brakes, derailleurs, levers. xt shifters i think. they had crossmax tubeless rims and a sid race Ti fork. a truly badass ride. that's what made me get my s-works hardtail this summer. i say get it. |
