Tire Combo Recommendation(2 posts)

I'm currently running Specialized Dirt Master Team in the rear (495g/525g) and Specialized Control Team in the front (485g/532g).

These tires are coming close to the end of their service and i'm looking to get some new tires and wanted to know what kinds of combos you guys are running out there that provide great speed, low rolling resistance, light weight (sub 550g) and good traction.

I ride mainly pavement, hardpack, some light loose and gravel in dry conditions or after a small shower (not too wet). I would like to know what kinds of tires you guys would choose for my kind of riding. I've read the reviews and searched previous posts, but i'm looking for sleepers that maybe someone had experience with but aren't too popular. Came down with Kenda Klimax Lite, Trailblaster, Python Air Lights and Bontranger SS.

thanks in advance

Running an odd combo right now that works very well for the conditions you described..... I'm using a Maxxis Highroller K 70A 26x2.1 for the rear. It's a very low profile tire with low rolling resistance and weighs in at around 570g w/ kevlar bead. Works well in hard pack with loose dirt - very fast on pavement, good grip. Up front I'm using a Panaracer fire XC pro 26x2.1 This combo works great! You can go from pavement to dirt with excellent control, speed and traction.
