| What's your mojo? | Sleddog Oct 3, 2002 12:18 PM | | So, who has a mojo? Does it represent anything? Where/how did you get it? Do you carry it because you're superstitious? I, personally don't have one, but I haven't found one that seems right... how about you? |
| small black plastic bear... | Mossy Oct 3, 2002 12:56 PM | | He came on a birthday cake my wife made for me years ago. I like him because he's standing, and benevolently raising one paw in greeting/blessing the trail. I know mojos have fallen out of favor -- I guess the hucking crowd thinks theyre dorky, but I'll always keep mine |

| My mojos | kristian Oct 3, 2002 1:29 PM | | On the Bullit I have a bendie pumpkin that was in a Halloween care package that my parents sent me in college. I happened to open the box right next to my bike thinking "what the hell am I ever going to do with this." I hung him under my seat rails. Seven years and three bikes later, he's still a constant fixture on my seat.
On the hardtail I've got a piece of saffron cloth that was given to me by a Buddhist monk at a temple in Thailand. Since it is supposed to bring luck, I figured the bike was a great place for it.
On both bikes I've hung various surgical screws from my ankle that I received after a crash on the DH course at Keystone. They are good reminders to ride in control (and I swear they keep the "bad spirits" away :). |

| re: What's your mojo? | mischievous Oct 4, 2002 6:15 AM | | I have an alien toy I picked up in Roswell who acts as my co-pilot on my FS rig, I figure it might save me from a probe on a night ride. I think it is working as I haven't been probed while riding with him along.
My Hardtail had a hard plastic rattlesnake under the seat. I found him stuck in the side of my leg after a high speed collision with the ground. Just a control reminder really. |
| Had to remove mine... | Wasted Oct 5, 2002 4:16 PM | | I used to ride with this statue on my handlebars, but then it threw off the front end too heavy and I couldn't bunny hop anymore.
Plus, sky divers would get there parashoots stuck on it.

| My mojo is a American corporate icon representing... | næstep Oct 6, 2002 8:14 AM | | ...MAH BEG BELLAY! I don't let him ride on my handlebars. Nothing personal, it's just the principle of the matter, since everything he touches gains weight. He's stuck behind me, tagging along on my CamelBak. Funny thing is, no matter how hard I ride, he's always a step behind me it's hard to shake that lil' guy. Sometimes... he taps me on my shoulder during the ride. I think he's hungry, and I'm pretty sure he wants me to break open my Clif Bar.
