| Please Suggest a Commuter/Messenger Bag... | lvrider Oct 4, 2002 7:44 AM | | It doesn't need to be huge... I'll leave clothes, towels, etc at work, but will need room for some gym clothes, food, and maybe a pair of shoes. Anything with reflective material or strips? Thanks. |
| timbuk2! hands down | slowSSer Oct 4, 2002 8:38 AM | | ituses a one-strap system, comes in 4 sizes, a rainbow of colors, and three fabric choices. for a durable bag, stay away from the waxed canvas. oh, and it does come with reflective strappy things.
I have two, my SO has one, and we all love em- besides, you can support some San Francisco fellow-bikers!!! a little pricey, but they last forever (King headset of the messenger bag world???)

| timbuk2s are good | blackgasmask Oct 4, 2002 1:31 PM | | I had a timbuk2 dee dog for a bit that was absolutely bombproof. Ive been using a Zo bag off an on for awhile thats perhaps even more bombproof but slightly less functional in terms of divided pockets etc. I just got a Jandd Gabriel pack a month or so ago that while a bit spendy ($90ish), is the best of both worlds. Its got loads of pockets, it is expandable with a zipper in the base so it gets bigger if you need, very comfortable and exceedingly well made. It has a no slip backing on the pad on the shoulder strap so it wont move around and reflective strips can be added but arent included like they are with the timbuk2. that ones my fav for the moment but I agree with the others that timbuk2s are cool bags, probably serve your needs fine and last pretty much forever. |
