Oct 4, 2002 11:21 AM | | I agree with the blue diamond comment above, but the trails are pretty vast and you can easily get disoriented. Try going to Escape the City Streets bike shop, I think it's on west Charleston. They are a cool shop, and they do tours and rentals, they may have maps. There are two main trails out there, one just above the small town of Blue Diamond (park by the softball field or the small bike shop). The other side is called Cottonwood, a lot more technical, with a tough first climb (about 3 miles). For that trail park by the little shack off the highway (the one that goes to pahrump, forget the name). I would recommend finding a local before venturing to far. If you go out early to cottonwood on a Sat or Sun there should be somebody out there. Good luck. |
