X-post...Stackheight measurements for fork transfer TxTTickTock

Heya all
I am transferring my fox vanilla fork to an evil imperial frame to be bought shortly.
Now the evil has one hell of a 5" headtube as opposed to the 4.25" that I have now. I am trying to do the math to make sure I have enough steerer tube to pull this off.

Ok.... have exactly 7.75" of steerer tube from the crown race to the top. I took my stem off and measured.

Now am I doing this right?-------

The imperial has a 5" headtube, that leaves me 2.75" steerer.
King headset is 1+3/16", which leaves me 1+9/16" give or take.

That leaves me only 39mm of exposed tube. Am I right in assumeing that is plenty of steerer to use a raceface diabolus or thomson or that kind of stem?

If my math is right, even if the stem had a stackheight of 45mm, 6 mm would still put the top of the steerer above the top pinchbolt.

Tell me if i screwed this up or if there is any way (short of a new steerer) to fix this problem. I see other threads on low stackheight stems so I assume thats an option as well. I am just not sure of the diabolus stackheight.

Thanks!
