After all the hoopla FSA's been making about ISIS bb's they go and make a Shimano compliant crank. Weird huh? Wonder what the reason is.
pre-ISIS old stock? nmTC

The only other thing that comes to mind is that they want to provide a component for people looking to upgrade from lx or xt stuff and keep the BB.

i've heard form two companies that make ISIS compatible cranks that they have had some issues with cranks not staying tight. there are TONS of variables so i won't even begin to specualte why this is, but both of those companies are testing their cranks with Octalink.

I know the road cranks have been available in the Shimano V1 Octalink for a while. I've never see the MTB cranks in anything but ISIS. If you look carefully at the bottom of the pic you will see a tag that says FSA Carbon Pro Triple - which is their road crank.

Hope to have helped a little.....
