| Rapid Fire or Grip Shift? | upNdown Nov 7, 2002 7:33 AM | | I use lobster gloves and they've kept my hads warm down to single digit temperatures. Mine are made by Perl Izumi, but I actually liked the last pair I had (some no-name brand) better. These things are so warm that I usually end up swapping them for regualar gloves halfway through the ride.
But I don't know if these claw style gloves would work with rapid fire shifter. |
| They'll work ok with either ... | dogbert Nov 7, 2002 7:54 AM | | I've used Lobsters with rapidfires and they work fine. A little clumsy, but they get the job done. For extra toasty hands, I'll usually wear some silk glove liners underneath that I got at a ski shop.
Whether it's skiing or biking, I hate cold fingers. |
| raceface aquanots... | TC Nov 7, 2002 9:33 AM | | Used them to about -10C and kept the digits warm. |

| re: Cold Weather Glove suggestions... | timbo Nov 7, 2002 6:52 PM | | .... yup. Just got a pair of Louis Garneau Vulcano Split Finger Mitts. They have a great gripping material for the brakes etc. New for this year I think. Go to Louisgarneau.com and search for "Vulcano".... about $40.- CDN.
They work great.... have ridden with them for three or four nights and they are great.
(No economic interest in LG.... these are just great mitts) |
