My '02 Psylo SL has the dreaded clunk disease...Mountain Cycle Shawn

What causes the clunk? Should I send it in? Its still under warrenty. When I set the rebound at full fast the clunk goes away When I set it at full slow it clunks really bad, at 2 1/2 from full fast it doesn't clunk but if I run it a half turn slower where I like it, it clunks a little. Will the clunk get worse? How is RS customer service now that SRAM is involved? Thanks!

My LBS called RS with a question on my '01 Psylo SL. They were able to get an immediate answer and recommendation as to what the shop could look for to diagnose or cure my problem so I have to say, the service was excellent in this specific area.

No clunking but the fork "seems" loose as in a loose headset. I already had it rebuilt last year and it has the larger bushings but at the 5" setting its not as tight as I would like it. This may be my own misconceptions on how a longer travel fork should feel since I'm used to a SID at 3" or a Judy at 2.5" where I do not experience the same feeling of "looseness." I'm not even sure if that is the right word.
