Giro Pneumo "Sale Sample Only" Helmet Safe to use?Herkwo

Need some help. I purchased on e-bay what was advertised as a new never worn Giro Pneumo helmet that turned out to be a "Sale Sample Only" helmet. It was clearly marked on a small sticker along with "Not for Resale". Is this helmet any less safe to use than a standard helmet? Are these "Sale Sample Only" helmets inferior in construction or in any other way unsafe to use?

that it's just a helmet that Giro gave away either to a sales rep, distributor, vendor, etc. in order for them to show it to potential customers. if it's anything like the samples we gave out where I used to work (not bike stuff) then it's 100% production quality and fully functional. Giro put the sticker on it basically to prevent whoever they gave it to from selling it at retail prices and making a profit on what was free to them.

It should be fine.

What Yeti descibes is pretty standard. An added wrinkle: if goods are imported the duties paid on them is different for models, prototypes, and sample so if they are marked as such they are handled differently.
