Stem Riser???(3 posts)

Stem Riser???kermit
Dec 16, 2002 6:02 AM
I need to find a way to raise my bars so I stop endoing. I'm 6'6, 250 and with my seat up on my 21" Jamis Dakar comp, I am way to heavy on my front end. I found this stem riser in performance bike, will this work? I tried to have my LBS raise the headset (cane creek) which they said was cut and could not be raised. Any suggestions?

As suggested, a stem with more angle and in addition you can also try a riser bar. Stem angles range from 0 - 40 degrees and riser bars can range from 1 - 2 inches. You may want to have your LBS assist you with finding the right stem. Getting the correct length is just as important as the correct height.
