| I'll see your 8500, and raise you 400... | bungyfish Jan 22, 2003 9:03 PM | | Nice ride you have there, even though I am against Shimano drivetrains.
Here is my pimp-mobile. 99, 8900 (also a 19.5"), Tru-Vativ Stylo Team cranks, Arch Rivals w/ 1.9 levers, SRAM 9.0 rear and shifters, SX-R fork, Bonty SS front wheel, X517 rear. Recently powdercoated, and modified to moto style rt-front brake. Ballpark weight is 25lbs. I can't buy superlight stuff because I weigh in at 190. |
| What | makalu Jan 23, 2003 7:22 AM | | Handlebar is that??? |
| What | bungyfish Jan 23, 2003 8:47 AM | | Icon Diesel, 1" rise. It is a real stiff bar, and I picked it up pretty cheap, and bars are not a place I like to dump lots of dough. It is on my hitlist of parts to be replaced, but I am having trouble finding the bar I want (Club Roost riser). Is there a reason you asked? |
| Yup.. | makalu Jan 23, 2003 9:28 AM | | Cause at some point in time, I will eventually replace the generic OEM bar that my bike came with. I liked the look of that bar. To me from the pic, it looked like a higher than 1" rise, hence my interest. My current bar has 1.25 inches, and i am pondering going a tad bit higher.
Thanks Bungyfish |
| Yup.. | bungyfish Jan 23, 2003 10:52 AM | | I am pretty sure that that bar comes in a 1.5" as well. It isn't the lightest bar out there, but it has been good to me. (6'2", 190). I picked it up (in 01) for $25 or $30. The look of it played a factor for me too. Happy shopping.

-Mak- (considering the raceface air alloy or azonic double wall riser) |
