I've got a bike shop and tools and regular parts coming out of my ears so I don't need any of that stuff. BUT I haven't had a new bike in years, so any suggestions on a new frame???? Post em here, eh.

You don't say how and where you ride and what your needs are?

that kind of cash on a new rig... Canadian Tire.....reeeeeal funny. Anyway! I live in New Brunswick in the SE corner where it is fairly flat, BUT I'm headed back to the MT Tremblant area N of Montreal where I plan to ride again. I used to race and still ride like I used to train- hard. Right now I'm ridin' a GT Lts-1, 19" and it feels good. I have ridden a single out here but never in Quebec (too damn hilly!) Yea, I have raced my Lts down a DH run and placed well, so handling and tachnical are not a problem. I love to find the "groove" when I ride So something that doesn't need a whole lot of conscious rider input would be ideal. How does the Bullit ride?

we're kinda in the wrong forum but WTF. eh?

As and ex-LTS guy ('96 LTS-2), and ex Ontarioian, I *think* you might want to look at several: Santa Cruz is a fav. of mine, after the &T$^%#&@!!!LTS bushings, SC bikes need almost zero maintenance. The Bullit is no trail bike but....

Have a look at the Blur, hard to find and worth the wait I'm told, still have not been on one. The new Heckler might be perfect. Framesets are about $1900 CAD. Specialized 4 bar FSR's ride really nicely as a good all-arounder. Kona makes nice frames but not my fit I'm afraid. And DeVinci out of Quebec has nice stuff, but pricey.

I know squat about the likes of TREK and the rest, sorry.

The S-C bikes are all over the Nor'shore because they last, and they can be repaired and replaced easily if you ever have to. And the new shocks like the Fox AVA and 5thElement make *bob* virtually disappear.

Not much help, but good luck. Jim
thanks for the op. Jim.....it's nice to know that I'm not the...Sproket the Rocket

only one who rode an Lts of the 96/97 vintage who found those damn bushings annoying as hell! I've never ridden anything from SC but would love to give one a try!
