I'd much rather rich fertilizer on my garden than heavy metals in my childrens' brains.
I'll take the SUV and run over all the horse riders...TopperHalo

Why is this trash on "General"--still supposed to be about bikesTNC
Jan 23, 2003 4:52 PM
It's bad enough we have to listen to some of these morons drone on about this drivel on Passion. This General forum is still supposed to be about bikes. Get a life, get a bike topic, and get the he// out of here.
Agreed, take this garbage back over to Passion. nm.Nat

A followup question.Pete.

Who is forcing you to read something that you're not interested in?
Like seeing trash on the side of the trail.TNC

I guess you could quit riding just because some moron threw trash around your favorite trail, but that wouldn't be reasonable, would it? MTBR is a great site. It's supposed to be mainly about mountain biking and things "closely" associated with it. Passion is a much more open forum where this kind of junk is more acceptable even though, personally, I think it detracts from a lot of good material there. A lot of us are tired of low lifes looking for soapboxes to spout their agenda about issues that have little to do with the elements of mountain biking. No, we shouldn't go around with our heads in the sand, but there are other sites (and unfortunately the Passion forum) for personal politics and philosophies. Just as most of us don't want to see trash on our trails when riding, we don't come here to get pious preaching about non-MTB related issues on most of the forums on this site.
Again, who is forcing you to read it? [nm]Pete.

Since you seem to enjoy the fine brews (Barleywine's/IPA's), what's the tasty brew of the month. Have not been to Bev Mo for a few weeks and I'm forced to drink the usual stuff. Thanks.
No shlt...enough already.... hey Nat...Ebo

Looks like my good riding buddy just ditched his wife and teenage daughter for Bend. He started today at Merrill Lynch somewhere close to the Old Mill District. His wife is actually still living in Cameron Park,CA and teaching school. Not sure what the future is with them, but I plan on coming up early this summer. Not real thrilled with Mt Bachelor, so will wait a bit and let the snow melt. As the time approaches, I'll be in touch and maybe we can hook up for a ride and some tasty suds. Hope all is well with you and your family. Cheers.
Seriously?Nat

I guess he wanted to live here enough to leave his family. I'm sure there's more to it than that. We haven't had much snow yet this winter, so it should be riding season again soon. I actually got in a ride out at Horse Ridge (22 miles east of Bend) a few days ago. Let me know when you come around and we'll see if we can get in a ride.

I didn't read either of Pete's posts on this thread by the way.Nat

The whole SUV "controversy" is a tool used to get peoples minds off the negative publicity surrounding a possible iraq war.
Nope. Still didn't read Pete's third one either.Nat
