If you are going to be doing the slickrock trails then i'd say get some slicks, the slickrock is like concrete so slicks will give you great traction. there are a few patches of sand on slickrock but it doesn't really matter what tires you have there anyway.

For the other trails i'be liked Tioga Factory DH tires, unless its gonna be wet these are great tires. I've also used Motoraptors there, and they held up fine, i just like the thick casing of a dh tire cause of the ability to run lower tire pressure. If you want to only use one tire there then the Moto is a good choice.

have fun

I've done three trips to Moab, and for most of the trails, I found that semi-slicks are ideal. The only place they don't excel is in the sand, but riding in sand sucks anyway--the semi slicks don't make it suck all that much more.

I know everybody hates them, but I used Jones AC's the last time I went and I liked how they handled. Their rounded profile and buttressed tread blocks kept squirm to a minimum on slickrock sidehills, yet they had aggressive enough tread for the non-rock areas.
I rather like the AC, tooshiggy

Especially as a rear tire. As long as it is dry, it is a very nice tire.

You want large volume and short/wide knobs. The place is rocky/rough (even slickrock is not very smooth in a lot of places!) so big volume tires will suck a lot of the abuse out of the trail and help avoid pinches. Steep side-hilling on slickrock is a lot like moderate speed cornering on flat, dry pavement. What knobby tires would you trust to do that? Not ones with tall knobs! The quartz sandstone is also extremely abrasive, and tires wear down very quickly. The wider the knobs, the more rubber you are putting down, and the slower they wear.

I just collect old, worn-down tires before a trip to Moab and take them there to die. It is a waste ruining good, new expensive tires there. I have picked up some cr@ppy Bontrager Jones (2.3 front) tires for $8 each and they were great. You can also dumpster dive behind the bike shops for perfectly good rubber.

Have fun!

2.4 motoraptors worked great for me the last time I was there. The heavier bigger tire really rolled better in the Moab step rock than any light tire I've ever used in 8 or 9 trips there. There's very little smooth climbing there where lighter tires have the advantage.

I'd go with the cheapest that you can find that are also large (2.3-2.5) The slick-rock wears tires like mad, so don't waste money on new ones if possible. I've heard that 2-3 days in Moab can do in a set of brand new tires. When I went there, my year old panaracer fire xc pro's lost more tread in one day at slickrock than in the previous year of constant riding.
