I have a work assignment coming up for a duration of 6-months in Santiago Chile... I want to bring my ride but am worried about transport and theft... |

You don't have to go far to get to some great areas, but if you don't have your own vehicle, I'm not so sure how you'd get a bike around. There are plenty of busses, but they tend to be pretty crowded. I'll ask a friend of mine about it (from Santiago) and post agian soon. |

As for safety, it's like most big cities, safe in most places during the day, not so safe in a lot of areas at night. Get to know the place and keep you bike as secure as possible.
If you go, be sure to do some treking down south, it's a beautiful country. |
