| Salt Cycles.... Anyone know anything about them? (Utah??) | oldschooler71 Feb 26, 2003 10:21 AM | | I was in Salt Lake about 6 months ago and came across this magnesium frame in a shop on State Street (now closed), and I've been looking for one ever since. If you know anything about either the bike, or how I can get ahold of one, please please please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Another name they go under is lodestar, or litech and you can buy them straight from the importer. Here is one i found on ebay -

They never mentioned anything about them being made in Russia. So do you know anything about the guy selling them on ebay? I mean, are they good frames? How'd you know about them being sold under different names, and do you know the names of other "badges"?
thanks again. |
| re: Salt Cycles.... Anyone know anything about them? (Utah??) | BadHabit Feb 26, 2003 2:46 PM | | The name is Litech, formerly Lodestar. The tubing is from the MiG factory in Russia, but the frames are put together in Hungary. It's an American design. Overall quality is probably a 7 of 10, but the ride quality is outstanding, perhaps the best of all frame materials. Possible downside is need to keep finish on to keep corrosion at bay, and a nonbiovalized downtube at bb that might flex under a clyde, but I have not noticed it. Also at mgbiker.com. Real nice and light and out of the ordinary. Takes an e-type derailleur. |
