You can try Helens on Rosecrans, between Sepulveda and Aviation streets. It is in the shopping plaza that has Houston's steak house and 24-hour fitness, right next to Bristol Farms market.

I do not have enough experience to say if they are "good" but they did get me a good deal on a road bike and have performed several mechanicals to my satisfaction. I am not sure there is any other mountain bike / road bike shop at the same level in the area.

Cambria (the big mail order/online store) has a shop down on PCH in Redondo.......only been down there once. Helen's in Santa Monica and Westwood are my LBS. Always get good service at these locations, so I'm assuming MB will be the same.
Cambria closed that location last year.Hoodratz and Hoochies

Cambria closed the southbay store last year sometime.

So don't go there.
