HT: Bontrager - about 25 pounds
FS: Santa Cruz - about 25.5 pounds
SS: Yeti - never weighted it, but it's light
CX: Ritchey - about 19 pounds
heh...JimC.

Your Bontgrager + your Ritchey = my Bullit and a full Camelbak, I won't count my body armor, FF Mad Max, hikers, backpack, etc. Or if it rains, add another 3-5lb of water soeaked rider.

Wow, 19lb, I can only imagine how well that would climb!

But my 19 pound rigid skinny tired 'cross bike would be left behind on a north shore downhill. :)

Superlights that weight 22lbs.
Do you have disc brakes?
Must be a sweet ride. Your frame is close to 6.6 lbs and you are less than 2lbs near my hardtail weight.
You did a great job!

Please get your bike on my site http://light-bikes.com

It would be a very nice addition if that is the true weight. Even 24lbs is really good for a superlight.

Also when did RF start making carbon bars? Do you mean Answer Carbon?
Get you weights and use my spreadsheet to get the correct weight.
It's a sweet ride and my guess is a hair under 24lbs.

Here is the spreadsheet: http://www.light-bikes.com/light_bike_stats.xls

RF used to make a carbon bar...CraigH
Mar 31, 2003 12:57 PM
But not any more I think. It isn't listed on RF's site anymore.

It was called the "AirCarbon".

It is interesting how light people can get their bikes. My bike is as follows:

Ball burnished medium frame w/ Fox Float
Fox Vanilla R
Easton Monkey carbon bar
Titec Big Al stem
King headset
XT shifters, cassette, derailleurs, and bottom braket.
LX crank
Magura Marta disc brakes
IRC Mythos
Hayes Superlight hubs w/ Mavic 317
Thomson post w/ WTB ti seat
Eggbeater pedals
Oury grips

The bike weighs 27lbs. I would have to spend substantial dough to drop weight on this bike. It really works well.
