Psylo Sticking, Bad Dampener--HELP!(1 post)

Psylo Sticking, Bad Dampener--HELP!Bunnyhop
Apr 24, 2003 9:10 AM
I' noticed that my forks were no longer plush and seemed to by sticking. After disassembling the forks, I noticed that the dampener was STUCK in the tube--I had to use pliers to remove it-Hence, the cause of my problem. When I tried to reinstall the dampener, I couldn't get it back into the tube, as though the diameter of the dampener was oversized. I would think the diameter of the dampener would shrink as it wore out, not enlarge.
I panned on just buying a new dampener, but it appears Rockshox does not sell parts to the public. Can I just sand the dampener to decrease its diameter? I can't think of any other way to remedy this situation
I guess I could buy the part from a dealer, but it would be expensive and take forever to receive the part. Help!
