May 22, 2003 5:09 AM | | Since I started using Armor All to mount UST tires (on Crossmax rims) I have found they don't leak any more than the least leaky tubed tires I have. I have Michelin Comp S and WTB Mutanoraptor UST and both hold air very well and have yet to flat. I think seating the bead is very important in this regard, and I think this is where the Armor All helps. Not only is it easier to mount the tires, but I think the rubber around the bead can slip and slide into the perfect conformation with the rim. I have never had the tire slip on the rim after mounting, even at 25-30 psi. |

May 22, 2003 7:03 AM | | Conti. Vertical Pro UST on a Cross Roc wheel was to spray the entire rim and tire with hairspray just before he pumped up the tire. Crazy sounding but I haven't lost an ounce of air in the two weeks since he did it! I'm hiring this guy to do any more tires I have to change :)
