I am heading to Pisgah soon. Where is the best spots to camp?

What about hot springs, is there really hot springs there?

If you want facilities, try Davidson river Campground. Otherwise, you can car camp on White Pines Road heading toward the horse stables(some areas must be reserved, others not) There is also a camping area at North Mills River. Or you can backcountry camp, there are a million beatiful spots in Pisgah. Stop by the Ranger Station on your way into the Forest from Brevard for info.

The best I can tell, there are natural hot springs in Hot Springs, but you can't get in them. What they have are hot tubs with the warm spring water piped in. Doesn't sound to great to me. Also, there's no riding around there except for fire roads as far as I can tell.

..is by far the most popular. Several rides can be ridden from the CG itself. Nice river through it. Shady. But, it has all the trappings, ie dogs, kids, mtbrs, motorhomes, etc.

Tip: just as you drive in past the checkin station, on the left are 2 nice waterhose stations for watertank fillup for the camper trailers. REALLY useful to clean off ones bike after each days ride.

Ssssshhhhhh...don't tell anyone tho.:)

My solo trip about 6 weeks ago i guess. The very nice and clean and full of trout Davidson River is just beyond those trees.
