You would be right if there was only one c, but since there are two it's 'chee'.
so why do people call 'em "Zokes" or "Zokies"?/nm/

"ci" is pronounced "chee", "chi" is a "k" or a hard "c". If that is wrong, someone needs to let the locals, that I lived with for three years in Sicily, know. Actually, I am surprised that the name Marzocchi hasn't been "Americanized". Ci Ci's Pizza here in the Oklahoma City area goes by See See's Pizza and of course there is the Boston Celtics, which everyone pronounces Boston Seltics.

What??jcw

What do the Celtics have to do with Italian? Anyway Seltics has a better ring to it than Keltics.

RLinNH and jpre seem to be trying Americanize Marzocchi. BTW, "Celtic" isn't Italian, and "Ci Ci" isn't necessarily Italian either. And I think Zoke or Zokie would quality as an Americanized- or at least lazy man's- version.
You never heard of an Italian leprechaun? (nm)BrianU

you have it backward, matey

"ch" is a hard c, no matter whether it's "cch" or "ch"

when it's "cch" you should treat it like "ck"

"cc" is a soft c

"c" is a soft c

go re-learn your Italian, matey.
"ch" is pronounce like a "k" or hard "c". nmsuper uber stupid
