| Marzocchi Z1 FR SL owners, please help this lazy bastid. | Finch Platte Jun 17, 2003 7:09 PM | | Just had the fork installed on my Enduro. I need help with the settings- I remember someone posting here a while back re: letting all the air out & pumping it back to spec.
I'm too lazy to do a search here, and if I have a beer in one hand and the remote in the other, I can't read the instruction manual.
Tips would be wonderful, and if you want to fly out to adjust it personally, I'll pay your taxi fare from the airport.

| what about sag? | Mr Magoo Jun 18, 2003 3:55 AM | | since sag should be 25-33% of travel, you may come to a position that's acceptable. Set sag first. I'm a coil spring guy. (z-1 CR) |
| Check the ..... | YaMon. Jun 18, 2003 5:04 AM | | Reviews. I noticed a lot of people put their weight and what the settings were for that particular weight. I weight 145 pounds and found a review withe the settings for 150 pounds, so it should be close to what I am looking for. It would be nice to take all those settings and graph it to see if there is any relationship.

It'll drop your bars by about 2". That's the cool thing aobut Zokie ETA. High bars for downhill and lower bars for climbing with ETA! |
| re: Marzocchi Z1 FR SL owners, please help this lazy bastid. | nermol Jun 18, 2003 7:14 AM | | I have the same setup and am currently running the Positive air at 55psi and the Negative air at 150psi. I am 6'3" 250 and mainly ride XC with minimal drops. There was a post about a Marz tech support having someone release all the air prior to refilling it but sounds like a wast of time to me. The only tought thing is the negative air chamber has a very low volume so minor air preasure adjustments are rather difficult.
As far as the bars being higher than the seat I had the same complain, but after readjusting rear shock preasure for sag and rebound as well as seat height (proper leg bend in combination with sag) it was pretty close. I then took out the 4mm of spacers under my stem and placed them on top of it to lower my bars a little and put a little more weight on the front tire.
I like the feeling of more weight on the front wheel and I am very close now to perfect so I am going to replace my 100mm 10 degree stock stem with a 110mm 5 degree. I am sure once I do this I will need to tweak the preasure/sag on the rear and front again but the is part of the fun. I should have plent of time to do this since I dislocated my shoulder last week and no more MTB for 4-6 weeks. |
