Question about selling on ebay/classifieds/mtb tires(3 posts)

Question about selling on ebay/classifieds/mtb tiresJimbo T.
Jun 18, 2003 10:52 AM
I'm selling some tires on ebay, and I'm sure plenty of people have sold them either here, ebay, their shops, etc. My question is, how do you normally ship them? These particular tires have a wire bead and are not foldable. Do you box them? Wrap them?

And what method of shipment do you use? And what are the ballpark costs?

Thanks a bunch!

I think with a wire bead tire you are ok to do a xcross and fold them over. Should fit into a USPS priority box. This is how I usually ship since it doesn't cost much more than regular mail and they can have the item within 2-3 days. I generally charge a flat shipping rate...for a pair of tires I would guess $6 is a fair shipping charge. I would charge extra if they desire a tracking number and insurance. Always suggested but optional.
