| Anybody have a high quality floor pump? | Skartissue Jun 18, 2003 2:50 PM | | Despite my best efforts to purge my valvestems prior to inflation, my NoTubes goo has ruined my floor pump. Unfortunatly this particular pump is one time only disassembly (read "hammer"). Anybody have experience with a nice floor pump that can be disassembled and cleaned, then put back to working order? Must include pressure gage. Thanks for the info..... Skartissue |
| I have a Silca Super Pista... | GirchyGirchy Jun 18, 2003 3:00 PM | | It's steel with a brass chuck (presta/Schrader compatable) and wooden handle, all nicely put together in Italy. Includes a completely accurate gauge that reads up to 230 psi, and is apparently pretty easy to take apart. Replacement parts such as the chuck, gauge, and seals, are available from many mail-order places and many LBSs.
That said, I love mine. It fills pretty fast, the gauge is accurate, and it just generally works great. I bought mine for $35 at Performance Bike.
