I need a new fork......PLEASE HELP ME!stoom

Ok, I'll make this quick...

I am currently riding a '00 Sid XC and hate it. I think it's too flexy, sloppy, and a pile of #$^%!!! I ride in Northern CA. I'm a 155lbs and ride a 16" YBB. I want a lightweight XC racing fork (80mm). I was thinking about going to a dual air Sid but the stanchions appear just a week as on my Sid XC. Any advice??

Thanks in advance!

They are garbage.

I also would suggest a marathon or MX-pro ETA. The MX-Pro ETA is basically 1/2 marathon S and 1/2 marathon SL. ETA rocks for technical climbing.

I would get the 100mm too. With ETA and the weight being the same, why not?

I have a MX pro ETA on my hardtail and I love it. It did benefit from an oil change though, it was over-filled from teh factory so I wasn't getting the full 4".

If you REALLY want a race fork, I guess the skareb would be better than the sid. But I can't see any advantage to 80mm over 100mm.
