Rear Shock Questions - Uprade Help Needed (X-post Shocks)Jimbo T.

I have XC dualie that I'd like to upgrade suspension on it to get smoother, more consistent travel. Currently it has a Fox Vanilla coil shock (base model). I see three possibilities here:

1. Upgrade to a more tuneable Fox Vanilla, mabye the RC.
2. Upgrade to air - Fox Float.
3. Upgrade to Cane Creek AD 5 or 10.

I really have no idea what to do. I feel like right now it rides a little stiff and when I do get travel on the back (usually on bigger hits), it's very springy. I weigh 195lbs. and the spring is a 600lb. spring.

Maybe the best option is to go with a lighter spring (it would certainly be cheaper).

I really don't know about air shocks. Am I too heavy? I don't do drops or anything often, just when the XC trails I ride call for them. The only reason I mention the Cane Creek is that I see that they're a little cheaper and easier to get, plus they've gotten good reviews here.

Can anyone help me with this decision? Thanks.
