Road the same as Mtn Skewers?(3 posts)

Road the same as Mtn Skewers?bones
Jul 17, 2003 7:46 AM
I'm just about to set up my new mtb wheelset and I have an extra rear roadie skewer that I was going to use.

Is there a difference between a rear MTB and a Road skewer? Any reasons why I should not go with this setup?

thanks,
b.

Don,t be silly , you can.t mix MTB and Road parts, The road parts won't work when you're offroad and the mtb parts won't work when you're on road. The things some people try to do:).

Bones Can you bring your Canon camera battery charger to the 24 hrs, I can't find mine. Thanks Tim

Rear skewer will most likely be too narrow (130mm vs 135mm dropout
spacing). Front skewer is the same width and should work fine.
