| battery specs for marwi pro elite light | jantjag Jul 17, 2003 9:24 AM | | Does anyone know what size batteries they use in their battery pack? I know what type they are, I can't find the amps on the battery. Their tech support did not reply to this question. I just want to make a backup pack.

| when you say amps... | spoon Jul 17, 2003 10:07 AM | | do you mean milliamp hours?
If so, you really just need the voltage and try to find the highest capacity cells you can. For example, if its a 12 volt lamp, you can use 10 1.2 volt cells. I am not sure what the largest mAh 1.2 V cell is that yu will be able to find. |
| As long as you stick with a 6V battery... | Metroid Jul 18, 2003 6:22 AM | | You'll be fine. The Battery Station has 3.8 AmpHour 4/3A cells on sale for $2.50 each. You would need to wire these in 5 parallel pairs connected in series. While this isn't the preferred method, it is what Marwi is doing with their packs. You could get the 10 cells to build a pack for about $30 including shipping. This is a little less power than the origial pack (7.6 AmpHours vs 8 AmpHours for the origial) but is a fraction of the price.

If you're not comfortable with wiring them correctly, you can get an original Marwi pack for $90 from BikerBob.com...
