Out of all the pads that me and my buddies have, the cheaper fox's have been the best for XC as they are super light, breath well, and can be removed or put on in seconds. These and comp elbow pads, plenty for XC and the whole set up costs like $50 and weighs less than my helmet, theres no reason not to use them! Taking pads with me on rides has definately allowed me to step up a level on stunts and drops. Just the piece of mind is well worth it. Most of the more expensive pads are overkill for XC, too heavy, and too restrictive as they go around the back of your leg where the fox's are open... |
