How best to view these threads?linerider

I discovered this great site a few weeks ago and since I have either started discussions or contributed to others. It is slowly becoming a pain to manage and view everything I am involved in - or have interest in for that matter.

How do you do it? How do you manage your postings and viewings? Always search by author, by latest postings, etc? Or do you just page through everything every day?

I'll take any good ideas to make it easier to keep up with the info. flying around this place. I'd hate to miss anything.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I just scroll down the page and look for new links in threads I have read. If you are logged in, the visited links are a different color from the newly added posts. It can get a little confusing as I also usually have many threads open at once and let one load while viewing another, but it works.

I think the forums here are pretty intuitive. By comparison, look at bicycling.com I don't know what's so different--maybe just that mtbr.com is much more popular and active, but I don't feel any pressure to keep myself organized here. On mtbr.com you can have your hangouts. The beginners corner is always there--as are many others; it's not going to disappear next week, like a radio station you like or a diner you hang out in.
