| mtbr.com trail head information | Don't run over my dog! Aug 16, 2003 8:55 AM | | Does anyone know why mtbr.com removed the contributing authors name in the trail descriptions? It used to also include their e-mail address. I e-mailed the webmaster and just never got a reply.
I don't know why but I'm a little peeved about it. I'm just trying to get an answer. I've submitted a handful of trail descriptions not found in trailguide books. |
| They did?! You're right. That sucks. | Sprocketeer Aug 16, 2003 9:59 PM | | I live in Japan where decent trails are few and far between, and I've put up a few trail descriptions myself. Most of the descriptions of trails in Japan are only around the US military bases, and I'm sure those guys can exchange that information in the mess hall, or PX (whatever that means), but the rest of us are really out on the frontiers.
Often, when someone reads one of my trail descriptions, they send me an e-mail and we go riding. I hate to think those days are gone.
If it's true that the authors names and e-mail addresses have been removed, I really like to know why and have it corrected. Can we put our e-mail addresses in the trail descriptions? Is it just a formatting problem? |
