Looks like they both have a fish on now. Someone's going to be telling a sad tale soon.

I warned both of the bidders. I hate seeing people get ripped off.

I don't do Ebay, what am I missing that I don't see here? Unless the bike is a really old one? duh. Jim ^:o|

It's two different listings, by two different sellers, supposedly in two different states (FL and VA), for the same bike, listed within 30 minutes of each other. One, or most likely both, sellers don't actually posess the bike.
ah HA!JimC.

....who would risk more than $10 on someone with such low feedback AND a changed identity deserves to get ripped off. Fools and their money are soon parted and there will always be someone to help with the separation.
same bike sold 2x ?cw

The changed id I could live with (I changed mine recently - and no I wasn't involved in any nastiness - I just thought of a better one), the low feedback might concern me a bit, but the thing that really would make me run from this one is that it's the same guy, selling the same bike twice, under two different accounts.

Obviously the same person with two accounts. Listings are within a short time of each other, and both eBay ID's were changed last month, within days of each other. I'm sure this seller doesn't posess the bike. I saw this a few days ago and emailed one of the sellers asking why there was another identical auction for the same bike by a different seller, and never got a reply.

I wouldn't bid unless the seller could provide some proof that they have it - like another pic of the bike, say with the serial number or with today's paper in the photo.

.. i could call the seller on the phone, verify a home & work addy, AND use an escrow-type transaction service.

i've sold and bought stuff on ebay, no big deal. Feedback and communication go the distance as far as re-assuring a buyer.

the double posts, no real info on the bike or user, changed ID and so on are clear warnings...

but people need to be aware of lousy sellers... but who knows, maybe they just screwed up the state in the listing and were dumb enough to not figure out how to edit the posting.... duh!

so it goes...
Agreed, escrow is the way to go. nm.debaucherous

OK, who's "toecheeze"?Mikey
Sep 18, 2003 4:16 PM
The first auction sells to "mtbkr", with "toecheeze" as the 2nd highest bidder sniping at 4:20pm. Then at 4:51pm "toecheeze" bids and wins the second auction for the same bike. They've got to know it's not right.
