The wife & I signed a team up. Yahoo. We have each a Nightrider Dig. Head trip ~ 3 yrs old with the old slow charger. The lights have worked great. I am trying to figure out the light situation. Since the bulbs are 3 yrs old should I change them out? Should I get a Microbrute charger? Do the neutral charging systems work OK & I won't lose my battery accidently? I know people who have gone with just a head mounted light like mine, but should we get another, like the H-bar mounted one or like the Storm?

Any advice appreciated. No responses to my post over in the other forum.

that the charging station works fine. Batteries do go MIA, but not very often. I think we've had one battery go missing for a lap in the 4 times I've done the race - I've gotten into the habit of putting something on my batteries (in addition to the charging stations' label) so that when my battery gets lost in the shuffle at 4:00 am I can tell them what to look for. You should have a back up plan in case this happens. We have allways used nightrider systems so borrowing another riders' battery for a lap while someone on the team finds yours has worked out for us in the past.

I don't think you have to change out bulbs unless you have used your lights a lot over the past three years, but it is a good idea to have a spare. Maybe swap in one new bulb and keep your old one as spare. Changing the bulbs out requires some patience, so it would be a good thing to know how to do this ahead of time anyway.

I like a two light system, but haven't used a HID light. Seems most of the folks with a HID use just one light.
