Still the stem can be any length that feels right for you. If your lower body happens to weigh a lot more than some folks a long stem may be just what the doctor ordered because you have long arms. With the heavier than average lower body seeing the front stem may not be a disadvantage for you.
I have a 90mm stem that works for me. A friend uses a 120mm stem. So a stem can compensate for you, a shorter top tube, a seat put far forward, a seat placed further back, a long top tube, short arms, long torso, etc, etc, etc. There is no standard length stem. It's up to you to get one that suits you. |
