I'm not on an Enduro so your's will be different, but I run 170# and the damping at 13 click from full/slow even though I'm almost 200# with water, tools and clothes combined. Account for the air you lose when you remove the shock pump by over inflating a couple #. Also reset that O-ring often and try to get the shock to lightly bottom out on your most extreem moves.
Just keep fiddling w/it till you discover that magic spot...on your bike that is. |
| re: LBS said my weight (pounds->psi) - 25 psi | Walt Dizzy Jan 19, 2004 6:21 AM | | This is for a 2003 Enduro base model with Fox Float. I've heard from other sources just to use your weight in pressure (psi).
The manual that came with the bike said to use the O-ring on the shock piston to set the sag to about 1/2 inch. The sag method is probably the most accurate, if you are careful getting on and off the bike. If you jump or bounce on the bike, that will compress the shock.

| In my experience, rider weight would be too high | World B. Free Jan 19, 2004 8:14 AM | | I weigh 160 and usually set mine around 100.. Sag measurement is best |
| Agree with WBF | kneecap Jan 19, 2004 8:51 AM | | Maybe it's a lighter guy thing, but @ my svelte(read skinny)wt. of 150 lbs., somewhere around 110 to 115 psi works best. Its kind of a balance between min. sag (less bob) and max. suspension travel.I'll ocassionally alter psi a bit, depending on the terain expected. Takes some experience, and don't forget to make adjustments in long travel switch mode. |
| 2nd that! Go with Sag. My weight=180lbs, shock pressure=155 NM | Zeke Jan 19, 2004 12:38 PM | | NM |
