I dont seem 2 b able 2 get any traction out of these things on wet rocks and roots.I know these arent ideal conditions 4 any tyre, but i expect 2 get some grip. These tyres feel like they r skating on ice.Any sugestions, maybe tyre pressure or new tyres.

What tire pressures are you running? I use the UST version and I have them at 35 front/38 rear. Anything lower than 35 and they get squirmy and don't roll well at all. That seems to work best for me and I ride on wet roots pretty frequently.

Cheers,
Kristina

have run vert pro-tections very successfully in rough, tx hill country with great results. using stans, 32f/35r and no issues. nor have other's here riding same tires. not wet here often, but in very rocky/some roots/loose sort of technical riding, they're good. also, just got some conti gravity's, same set up, and they seem to be even better than vert pros, on few initial rides. you might also try geax sturdy 2.1's(kind of heavy-about 1.6#ea, but bulletproof with same setup again). and try kenda blue groove 2.1's. large section/great traction and light, but had some trouble with stan's on this one. otherwise-very good tire. don't give up on the conti's just yet.
