I have a buddy who wants to risk his life and limbs riding a road bike. Where can he get some info on road bikes? Is there a classified section on this site or similar site to this one he can search? Sorry if this is a dumb question...I haven't really looked any further here for the answer. Jordan

Above is a link to Road Bike Review, MTBRs sister site.

Nuthin' wrong with a little road spinning, it's only as dangerous as you make it. You can go for a ride on a warm spring day or after a 3 days of thunderstorms and not have to slog through mud and tear up your trails!

I ride both mountian and road. They're different activities, but both fun. Once you're confident on the bike (i.e. learned to ride as though you were a car and not a pedistrian), and as long as you watch cars carefully, it's not that dangerous.

Encourage your buddy, then buy your own bike, and start riding together. The best part of a road bike is that you ride from your front door, and don't carry your bike in a car to the trailhead. You can get in a longer ride in the same amount of time do to this.
