Deer Grove Work Day(2 posts)

Deer Grove Work DayLakeRaven

Our regular ride group teamed up with the local advocacy group and the Boy Scouts to improve a section of trail that had been closed to mtn bikes for a decade. The trail project was the brainchild of an enterprising young man working on his Eagle Scout requirements.

Here's the aspiring Eagle Scout, Brent, welcoming all the volunteers

But there's always a little monkeying around

We had a nice picnic and the Boy Scout Troop brought out a ton of food too.

Here's Bethany exiting the new section

It was a great day, but I'm pretty vaped (tired). Thanks to everyone involved.
Dude, I'm stoked!!trailmaster

Spending half of my life in the northwest burbs with no real place to ride dirt, and you guys finally got Deer Grove Open to mt bikes!! Most of the world will never appreciate what an accomplishment that truely is.

My hat's off to the Boy Scouts and the crew who did the work.

Great job!!
