Cosca Regional Park, MD - Trail Workday(1 post)

Cosca Regional Park, MD - Trail WorkdayDT
Nov 21, 2003 1:06 PM
Come join Gary and his crew as they cleanup from a wet spring and soggy summer at Cosca Regional Park.

WHY? Remember the rainy, wet, muddy spring? And all that riding you did this summer? Time to give a little love back to the trails before winter sets in. All the parks in our area rely on volunteers to maintain the trails, and a few hours of your time will go a long way. Hours worked in the spring and fall series will count toward our annual 20-20-20 Awards, and you could be eligible to win a Santa Cruz Blur frame! (Check the MORE website for more details.) Your hours also count as valuable matching funds toward grants that support trail projects.

WHAT? Bring work boots or sturdy shoes, work gloves (an old pair of cycling gloves will do), plenty of water, and lunch or a snack. MORE and local land managers will supply the tools, but feel free to bring your personal favorite (shovel, pick, metal rake, hand saw, etc.). We'll also have a stash of Clif Bars on hand, thanks to our sponsors at IMBA and Clif Bar!
