Anybody know if that was the 5.7" or 4.5" linkage set-up?

My switchblade needs new bushings, might have to get a new shock with them.....

5th Element air on switchblade- travel option?FM or MF
Oct 17, 2003 10:46 AM
I wonder because I contacted titus concerning shock options in september. I stated that I'm running the 5.7" set up and love the travel but feel that the fox shock is too progressive. Here's what they had to say:

As far as the plushness goes, I am going to be developing a new long travel link for the 02 Switchblade to be used with the 5th element air. That should be available in December and it should be worth waiting for.

So, is this what he was referring to, or perhaps there is a different linkage on the way for a longer stroke 5th element shock?

I wonder if the stable platform would be worth giving up .7" travel for, on my bike that see some free-ride use?

I don't think Chris was ever totally happy with the long travel setup on the 02 SB
They are working on a new linkage that will make the 02 SB work better with the 5th element, may be a reduction in travel but it should be better quality and that's more important
I called Titus and they told me no 5th for 2002 SB.Jaybo

They said the shock body would not fit in the frame without hitting the frame. Do you have other information.
