| Psylo Race - changing thre travel settings | DIPH-DONG Oct 18, 2001 8:03 AM | | I would like to know how difficult it is to change the internal spacers that in effect change the travel of the Psylo Race. I am considering purchasing this fork and want to know if it is an easy procedure. If it's a real pain in the a$$, I may go with a Psylo SL |

The 2001 Sl all you have to do is undo the top cap and pull out the spring, and then use a long flat head to screw in (shorter) or screw out (longer) the plunger.
For 2002 just twist the U-turn adjustment knob. 6 turns and you have 80-125mm adjustment.

| Got both of those forks. | TNC Oct 18, 2001 4:45 PM | | Have an '01 P-Race and an '02 P-SL. The SL has the U-Turn knob which is stupidly simple and effective. The Race requires you to drop the lower legs (not an exceptionally hard procedure), so you really don't want to go switching around very often. The SL is a very nice fork but weighs about 4.25lbs. The Race is an honest 1/2 lb. lighter and is extremely adjustable as to desired spring rate because it is an air spring. For most folks I'd recommend the SL--easier to live with. I really appreciate the infinite adjustment of the air medium in the Race--a little plusher. Got a coin? |
