| Fork on a locomoto | bod Oct 18, 2001 9:10 PM | | Was thinking about putting a Duke SL 100 onto a Loco. Would anyone suggest any alternatives?
Thanks... |
| re: Fork on a locomoto | bod Oct 18, 2001 9:15 PM | | Sorry - above post was a bit brief. I am looking for 100mm travel, reasonably light and an air fork. I am sub-150lbs and am just an average all-round trail rider - so i want something thats durable - but i do not need something designed for drops, jumps, etc. Would also like something low maintenance as I'm mechanically inept...
Thanks again... |
| Couple more options..... | Ventanarama Oct 18, 2001 9:45 PM | | The Duke is a good fork for the price. A couple more to seriously consider are the Fox Float R, and the closeout deals on 01' X-Fly 100's. Both are 3.7lbs uncut. The Fox is the stiffest of the 3, has great rebound damping, and is very plush, but a tad more expensive than the other two but still very reasonable. The 00' X-Fly's were mediocre but the 01' has proven itself to be a very good fork and they are running about half price right now.

| Ditto..have seen the 01 X-Fly 100 for $270 | Markv Oct 19, 2001 9:22 AM | | My girlfriend is thinking about getting one. Great deal on a relatively stiff 100mm travel air fork! |
