'01 Z4 vs '02 MXC (Marzocchi)(3 posts)

'01 Z4 vs '02 MXC (Marzocchi)Boomer

What are the differences between the 2001 Marz Z4 and the 2002 Marz MXC? From the descriptions they both sound like they have all the same features (internal rebound adjustment, 80-100 mm travel change, air to coil spring change, etc). But in various online bike shops the MXC sells for less than the Z4. Any answers/info would help because I am trying to decide between the two. Thanks.

Go for the 2002 MXC ECC. The MXC can be had from Beyond Bikes for $219.00. Good Deal. The Better deal is the MXC ECC can be had for $259.99. You get the Monolight arches (200g lighter than the Z.4's 3 piece design) and ECC lockout. Tons better and more options than the Z.4. I believe you can also get external rebound adjustment as well. Call Beyond Bikes. 123Shocks is where I got my MXR.

Marzocchi seems to be aware of Price as their achilles heal. With Rock Shox coming outwith light beefy low cost forks, Marzocchi changed their pricing practice.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out those stores.
