Anyone have any ideas how to knock about half a pound off the '01
Judy race? I love mine, but it's a pound of dead weight heavier than the SID. Lighter lowers? Ti bolts? Different oil? Removing stickers and filing the disc tab? :oÞ Someone out there must know....please dont post a reply saying "I dont know....get a SID?"

The weight is in the coil springs and oil.
Take either out and your fork works pretty poorly.

I don't know, get a MARS

As far as a hydra coil shocks go, the Judy Race is pretty top notch. If you want a shock that is significantly lighter, you'll need to go with a different technology.

When you buy Rock Shocks lightest hydracoil, it's hard to make it any lighter.

Go with Total Air technology. It converts your fork to an air shock. It cost about 100.00 to shave around 3/4 of a pound. I am saving up right now to convert my 2000 judy race. White brothers and other fork companys use Total Air. If you decide to do it give me an e-mail and tell me how it works.
