Dust seal advice neededDY

I have a '01 Mars Elite that I recently serviced. Now I'm having trouble getting the spring-side dust seal to seat. It keeps popping out when the fork compresses. I've wiped the excess lube, and it still seems a little slick.

What can I do to keep the seal from popping out?

I recently had the same problem with my new Fox Forx.

Here's how I fixed mine:

1. Clean both the seal/wiper with contact cleaner.

2. Clean the lower with contact cleaner

3. liberally coat the seal/wiper with red loctite (bearing and stud mount.

4. Press into place.

Do not pump fork or ride on fork for 4-6 hours. Let the loctite setup thoroughly.

Note: In extreme cases you may have to roughen up the seal surface lighky with 150 grit emory cloth.

Also, make sure that you are not overfilling the fork leg with oil.
