i want to remove lower legs of my sid xc to
do some cleaning and lubing. i used to take apart
my judy sl all the time. is the sid xc leg removal
the same as an old judy?

do i remove the bolts on the bottom of the legs and slide
them off?

Loosen the bottom bolts a few turns and then tap the bolts upwards to free the lowers from the stanchions - watch out for oil - have a way to collect it when it comes pouring out. you'll need to get redrum(rockshox slime for the air part) and fork oil from a motorcycle shop for the part underneath - read your manual.
