Reposting since the board was sleepy over the weekend. Welcome back everybody.

I've got an 01 MARS with about 700 miles on it. How much oil should I put on top of the air piston? I know the manual says 2.5 cc, but I don't have a measure what's a good eyeball amount? The piston has a depression in it - should I fill the depression to the lip, a little over so that it "seals" the inside of the stanchion, or what?

When I took off the top cap it had just a film at the bottom, maybe 1mm of oil.
